Probably because it's mostly a GOP phenomenon, because you have a handful of Sugar Daddies bankrolling these candidates beyond their ability to sustain electoral numbers. Bernie Sanders can pack an auditorium and get small donors. Rick Santorum just needs Foster Friess.
