Blog Credo

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

A Note on the Ads

This is the obligatory post where I note that I don't pick the ads on my site.  AdSense picks them based on some sort of word search algorithm.  I write "The Tea Party is full of morons" and it sees "Tea Party" and pops in a political ad.  Most of those ads are bought and paid for by conservative groups.

At this point there's so much coin flowing into these conservative groups that they don't know how to spend it apparently.

CAPITALISM!
