Blog Credo

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

One Trend I'm Noticing

Whenever the Democrats don't have a strong candidate at the state level, they're getting killed at the House level.  Indiana, Virginia and Florida spring to mind as places where the Democrats either had not statewide candidate (VA), had a weak one (IN) or had a split decision (FL).  Whether this depressed turnout or not... who knows.

If PA House Dems ride Sestak's coattails, then I may be on to something.
