Blog Credo

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

My New Time Waster

I splurged for the "Sports Package" on my cable provider because I want to watch soccer with Thing One and Thing Two.  They show some rugby, too, so...win.

Anyway, I have spent more time watching it than they have.  Thing Two - who is a student of sport - wants to watch it.  Thing One - who is a talented soccer player - can't be bothered.

So, basically, my plan to share English Premier League games with my sons has met the cold hard reality that the Cartoon Network has already won their hearts and minds.
