The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Walking Dead

I stopped Liveblogging the show because it interfered with my ability to watch the show, but I can reflect on this episode and...damn.

The storyline about executing the guy they picked up was a decent enough one.  Civilization or law of the jungle?  What does killing a human being mean as opposed to killing a Walker?

But the Karl story overwhelmed everything else.  And then to have Dale meet his end like that.  And it appears that the captive breaks free.

Only two episodes left until hiatus, but I bet they are pretty damned good.

RIP, Dale.
