The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Herman Cain Speaks!

Seriously, can we move on, now?

So, Not A Full On Rapist Herman Cain finally did what Mitt Romney won't do.  Talk to the press.

It went... poorly.

Herman has a problems with the "ladies".  First of all, he needs to stop calling them Ladies.  It reminds everyone of that awful Tim Meadows character from SNL.

Second, this is beginning to leave a mark.  Considering he seemed to be running to sell his book, and he's now cashed in on his fifteen minutes of fame, shouldn't he just slink away now?  Doesn't Fox have a time slot he can occupy?

The Conventional Wisdom is no coalescing around a possibility I raised last week: Leroy Newton Gingrich.

As I have said, I was impressed with Gingrich's "Debate" with Cain this weekend.  He's perfectly positioned to pick up the electoral whores Republican voters who have dated Trump, hung out in Bachmann's basement listening to Christian Rock and heavy petting, run their fingers through Perry's hair and finally brought home Herman Cain to shock their parents.
